  1. This equipment bundle, which is provided for my use with no transfer of ownership, is a fully configured computer system with a battery, power cord, peripherals, and other accessories. I will retain possession of the equipment and its accessories until I am no longer enrolled at Ringling College of Art and Design.
  2. This equipment will, at all times, remain the property of Ringling College of Art and Design. I will have no title or other ownership interest.
  3. I am fully responsible for maintenance of personal software applications and hardware not provided as part of the equipment bundle by Ringling College of Art and Design.

These amounts will be added to my student account.
  6. If any components such as charging blocks, cables, or input devices are missing when I return the equipment to Ringling College, I will be charged the full replacement cost of each missing component.

1. Scope & Term of Agreement
  • Academic Year Temporary Loan: This equipment bundle is provided strictly on a temporary, one (1) academic year loan basis. This equipment is not permanent and must be returned no later than Friday, May 28th, 2027. Ownership always remains exclusively with Ringling College of Art and Design.
  • Return Obligation: I acknowledge that I must return the complete equipment bundle to the Institutional Technology Help Desk on or before the specified return deadline at the end of the academic year, or immediately upon my withdrawal, leave of absence, or dismissal from Ringling College of Art and Design, whichever occurs first.
2. Financial Responsibility: Loss, Damage, Theft, & Missing Items

By taking delivery of this equipment, I accept full financial and operational responsibility for its custody, care, and timely return:

  • Damage & Misuse: I am responsible for any damage to the equipment resulting from neglect, misuse, or accidental drops. Ringling College reserves the right to inspect returned hardware. If damage occurs, I will be billed to my student account for the actual repair cost or full replacement cost not covered by warranty.
  • Missing Components: All original accessories (including power adapters, connection cables, styluses/pens, and carrying cases) must be returned together. If any individual components are missing upon return, my student account will be charged the full replacement cost for each missing item.
  • Theft or Total Loss: In the event of loss or theft, I am responsible for the full actual replacement value of the entire equipment bundle.
  • Required Reporting: Theft or suspected theft must be reported within 24 hours to the Institutional Technology Help Desk. If the incident occurs on campus, campus Public Safety must also be notified immediately at (941) 359-7500.
3. Failure to Return & Deadline Violations
  • Missed Deadline Penalties: Failure to return the equipment by the designated end-of-year deadline will result in an immediate hold placed on my college record (restricting registration, transcripts, and diploma release) and a charge for the full replacement value of the unreturned kit added to my student account.
  • Non-Purchasable Equipment: Paying late fees, non-return penalties, or replacement charges does not transfer ownership of the equipment to me. Paying a fee does not purchase the item, nor will it result in unlocking remote management holds.
